Man found in New Milton property under closure order

    September 21, 20251 Min Read

On Friday, September 19, 2025, officers from the New Milton Neighbourhoods Team took the man into custody at a property under a closure order extension from the Magistrates’ Court.

This order, under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, was put in place following concerns from neighbours.

It forbids anyone not listed in the order from entering or staying in the property.

The orders are issued when enough evidence shows that certain behaviours are negatively affecting the quality of life in the area.

These orders apply to both homes and businesses.

A police spokesperson said: “We are not naïve and we are aware that other people enter these addresses; however, it is not always logistically possible for us to attend and to deal as there are many other issues and engagements that we have to be fulfil.”

Members of the public are asked to record this type of offending by calling 101, via Hampshire Constabulary’s website, or Crimestoppers.
