BBCA man in his 60s has died in a house fire in Jersey, police have confirmed.
Emergency services responded to the blaze at a property within Seaton Place, St Helier at about 00:30 BST.
Fire investigation teams said they had conducted an examination and concluded there was “nothing to indicate anything other than accidental fire”.
Inquiries were ongoing to formally establish the identity of the person, police said.
“Tragically, one person has died as a result of the incident and our thoughts are with their family and loved ones,” a spokesperson for the force said.
