Landlords across the county are being urged to prepare for sweeping changes to the UK rental market, as Dockside Property Services hosts a free information event this month.
The Medway-based estate and letting agent will hold the session at its Strood branch in Station Road on Wednesday (April 8).

It will be offering clear, practical guidance on the new legislation of the Renters’ Rights Act, which is set to come into force from May 1.
The changes are expected to significantly impact how rental properties are managed, with updates covering compliance rules, tenant rights and landlord responsibilities.
The event is aimed at both experienced landlords and those considering entering the rental market, with the organisers set to provide strategies for maintaining profitable and well-managed rental portfolios in an evolving market.
Spencer Fortag, company director at Dockside Property Services, says the session comes at a critical time for the sector.
“The rental landscape is changing rapidly, and it’s vital that landlords stay informed and ahead of the curve,” he explained.
The rental landscape is changing rapidly, and it’s vital that landlords stay informed and ahead of the curve.
“Our goal with this event is to break down the upcoming changes in a straightforward way and give landlords the confidence to navigate them successfully.
“Whether you own one property or a portfolio, this session will be incredibly valuable.”
Attendees will hear directly from members of the Dockside team, who will outline what the new rules mean in practice and answer questions from both new and seasoned landlords in the area.

The event is free to attend, although spaces are limited and booking in advance is required. Refreshments will also be provided.
