AN INCREDIBLE National Trust property in the UK will soon appear in Netflix in a new movie starring Jacob Elordi and Oscar Isaac.

Burghley House in Lincolnshire is the stunning backdrop of the latest Frankenstein remake, and for any fans who want to step behind the scenes, you can.

Frankenstein is coming to cinemas and Netflix this autumn, and some might recognise the National Trust property in Stamford that was used as a key filming location.

Beyond the acting of Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi and Star Wars‘ Oscar Isaac, is the enormous Burghley House property.

With its sprawling grounds, grand house and historical rooms, it’s no surprise it made the perfect movie backdrop.

Burghley House is a 16th-century country mansion with over 100 beautiful rooms.

Currently it’s owned by the Burghley House Preservation Trust, established by the late 6th Marquess of Exeter whose granddaughter Miranda Rock lives there.

Despite it still being a family property, the house is very much open to the public.

Inside, visitors can explore many of the rooms like the Elizabethan-era kitchen with nine-metre-high ceilings and 250 original copper pans nailed to the brickwork.

On another wall in the kitchen are tiny turtle skulls which are apparently a nod to the Elizabethans’ love of turtle soup.

The Heaven Room has striking mythological paintings and an impressive silver wine cooler.

The Brown Drawing Room has a historical connection to Queen Victoria as do the George Rooms which were used by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1844.

Inside the George Rooms are huge Italian paintings and delicate wood panelling.

The public are welcome to explore the house between 10:30am and 4:30pm, seven days a week.

Entry to the house costs £20 for adults and £9 for children between three and 15 if booked in advance – with entry being slightly more expensive with on the day tickets.

Surrounding the house are two huge gardens which in the summer are full of blooming flowers and greenery.

There’s even a sculpture garden which is essentially an open-air gallery.

Burghley House is a popular weekend destination for families as it has a huge playground called Hide & Secrets.

The enormous playground has six themed zones, the tallest being Hidden Towers which has two slides, climbing walls, wobbly walkways and tunnels.

For the smaller kids, there’s a toddler and preschool area with smaller slides and play areas, as well as accessible play areas and paths.

The park also has a café called The Muddy Mole, where visitors can grab snacks and drinks.

The play park was inspired by the country’s first Chief Spymaster William Cecil who worked for Queen Elizabeth I.

Entry to the playground is £10 for adults and £8 for children.

Frankenstein isn’t the only movie to have filmed at Burghley House.

Other productions include The Flash, The Crown, Pride & Prejudice, The Da Vinci Code, and Elizabeth: The Golden Age.

Here are lots of other filming locations around the UK that are completely open to the public.
