How do you feel about the possible elimination of property taxes in Florida?

Governor Ron DeSantis held a roundtable in Jacksonville Friday to discuss property tax relief for homeowners.

DeSantis proposed providing a one-time $1,000 rebate to homeowners. The Governor also asked that voters in 2026 have the option to cut property taxes.

Critics say the Governor has no concrete plan on how to eliminate property taxes completely and there hasn’t been a source of funding for the projects property taxes currently pay for.
