Two brothers who have quietly built a sprawling property empire worth nearly $400 million across Sydney’s wealthiest suburbs are being pursued by the Chinese government after the company in which they were major shareholders was accused of illegal coal mining.
Xue Huiyong and Xue Huiqiang are former executives and major shareholders of Shanxi-based Heshun Hongrun Coal and now live in Sydney, but have found themselves targeted by China’s state-owned media.
