KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Kingsport Public Library will host a financial literacy class for teenagers on Tuesday.
The class will teach teenagers about budgeting, saving, debt management, investing and retirement planning.
“For many teenagers, finances are probably the furthest things from their minds,” the library said. “Which is why it’s important for teenagers to become financially literate, to create healthy money habits early in life and to prevent them from making long-term financial mistakes.”
The class will be on Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. in the main floor auditorium of the Kingsport Public Library. It is free, and registration is not required.
Alan Pickle from Operation Hope will speak at the class. There will be light refreshments.
