Keuka College Names New VP for Finance and Administration – Finger Lakes Daily News

    July 28, 20243 Mins Read

Keuka College has filled a key leadership role, naming corporate veteran Brian McDonald as its new vice president for Finance and Administration. The Fairport resident, who was selected after a lengthy national search, joined the College this month.

“I am very excited to welcome Brian McDonald to the College’s Executive Cabinet,” said Keuka College President Amy Storey. “He brings more than 20 years of corporate experience to this position, and I am confident in his ability to steward opportunities for new efficiencies and revenues, especially as we begin to embark on a variety of new strategic initiatives.”

In his new role, Mr. McDonald will oversee the College’s financial and business operations, providing strategic advice to the president and managing key administrative functions such as finance, budgeting, human resources, and facilities. As a member of the Executive Cabinet, he will also contribute to strategic planning and collaborate with senior leaders to ensure the College meets its financial goals and obligations.

“I am deeply honored to join Keuka College,” said Mr. McDonald. “The College’s commitment to student-centered learning, its rich history of empowering students through experiential education, and its vibrant community all attracted me to the position.”

McDonald brings a wealth of experience from his previous positions, most recently serving as Director of Revenue Excellence at the Fluke Corporation, a Washington state-based manufacturer of electronic tools and software. He has held similar leadership roles over the years with firms including Advanced Sterilization Products, Qualitrol Company, LLC, and AMETEK Power Instruments.

“The opportunity to work in higher education and support the financial goals of the institution provide new career challenges that I believe the last 20-plus years have prepared me for,” he said. “I am eager to collaborate with the dedicated faculty, staff, and leadership team to support the College’s mission and to advance its financial health and administrative excellence.”

Mr. McDonald earned his Master of Business Administration in Competitive Strategy and Operations at the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Kate Gleason College of Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology.
