Rightmove reveals most-viewed properties in first half of 2026

    August 3, 20263 Mins Read

Rightmove has released data on the most-viewed residential properties listed on its platform during the first six months of 2026, revealing a diverse range of homes spanning from £250,000 to £20 million.

The properties attracting the highest number of clicks varied significantly in price point and location, though all featured distinctive characteristics that differentiated them from standard listings, according to the portal’s analysis.

    Top-performing listings

The most-viewed property was a four-bedroom detached home in Bratoft, Lincolnshire, listed at £550,000. The property includes a cinema room, two acres of land, and is marketed by William H. Brown in Skegness. The home is positioned within reach of Skegness and Boston.

A £20 million Gothic mansion in Newcastle’s Jesmond Dene Conservation Area ranked second. Jesmond Towers, a Grade II* listed property built in the early 1800s, sits on nearly six acres and includes two detached lodges and a former gymnasium. The estate, marketed by Sanderson Young, previously operated as a Catholic school until 2008.

Third place went to a seven-bedroom Victorian villa on Alexandra Road South in Manchester, listed at £1,444,000. The 1885-built property spans nearly 5,000 square feet across four floors and includes a cinema room and self-contained coach house. Jamie Burke, Powered by eXp, is handling the sale.

    Heritage and international properties

A property in Corfu featured in BBC One’s ‘Amanda and Alan’s Greek Job’ attracted significant attention, listed at €530,000 through Corfu Home Finders. The restored home retains traditional stone flooring and beamed ceilings while offering two double bedrooms with sea views.

Law Castle in West Kilbride, North Ayrshire, built in 1467 as a wedding gift for Princess Mary Stuart, is marketed at £900,000 by Savills Glasgow. The five-storey medieval tower house includes a spiral stone staircase, vaulted chambers, and views over the Firth of Clyde.

A new-build property in the Lake District, Storrs Holme, listed at £8.5 million, features 115 feet of private lake frontage with two boathouses. The six-bedroom home, completed in 2023, is marketed by Fine & Country.

    Auction property

The lowest-priced property on the list, a circular thatched cottage in Sidmouth designed in the 1960s for novelist R.F. Delderfield, carries a guide price of £250,000. The cliff-top property is being sold by online auction and offers views along the Jurassic Coast.

The data comes as UK property transactions have shown signs of stabilisation following earlier declines, while house price growth has slowed to 1.8% in July. Property portals have increasingly focused on improving listing presentation to attract buyer attention in a competitive market.

The analysis demonstrates that properties with distinctive features, historical significance, or media exposure generate substantially higher engagement on listing platforms, regardless of price bracket.
