Stock Market LIVE Updates: Technical view

Stock Market LIVE Updates: From a technical perspective, Nifty opened on a bearish note near the 24,000 mark and remained under sustained selling pressure throughout the session. The index decisively broke below the crucial 23,900 support zone and hovered near the 23,800 OI-based support area, signaling clear weakness in the broader market structure. Nifty ended the session with a sharp decline of nearly 380 points, reflecting aggressive risk reduction across sectors.

Technically, 23,900 followed by 24,000 have now turned into immediate resistance levels after the breakdown. Unless the index reclaims these zones decisively, the short-term structure is likely to remain under pressure. On the downside, 23,500 emerges as a key support area backed by a strong OI cluster and previous swing low support, while the 23,000 psychological level continues to remain a major medium-term base for the market.

Momentum indicators also confirm the weakening trend, with RSI (14) slipping to 46 on the daily timeframe, moving below the neutral zone and indicating a clear short-term bearish bias.

Overall, today’s correction reflects a market shifting from optimism to caution, where macro stability, crude oil prices, geopolitical developments, and policy signals are beginning to outweigh near-term earnings momentum.

Stock Market LIVE Updates: Market expert view

Stock Market LIVE Updates: The benchmark index slipped below the 24,000 mark as renewed Gulf tensions, following Trump’s rejection of Iran’s peace proposal, weighed on investor sentiment. The cautious mood deepened after the PM’s appeal to conserve energy and avoid non-essential foreign travel, prompting investors to reassess the economic impact of higher crude prices, INR weakness, and pressure on the current account deficit.

At present, India’s strong fiscal position and healthy forex reserves are helping the government to absorb the impact of elevated crude prices. However, prolonged geopolitical tensions could increase macroeconomic stress. Meanwhile, rising bond yields and persistent FII outflows are likely to keep markets range-bound in the near term.

Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian pharma companies are expected to report aggregate sales growth of 9 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y) in the March 2026 quarter (Q4FY26), although Ebitda growth remains muted at roughly 1 per cent due to an elevated base in the US business. While benign raw material prices and a recovery in domestic acute demand are providing support, these gains are being partly offset by higher freight costs stemming from the US-Iran conflict, according to the brokerages. Read more.
