Glasgow tops best place to sell a property in UK list

    April 2, 20251 Min Read

Properties in Scotland’s biggest city typically spend just 30 days on the market, whilst homes in Edinburgh are typically taken off the market after 47 days, according to new figures from property investment firm Quick Move Now and property website Home.co.uk.

The property firms have released a list of the best and worst places to sell a property in the UK, based on how long homes stay on the market.

By comparison, Aberdeen is listed as one of the worst places to sell a property in the UK, with properties typically spending 172 days on the market.

Danny Luke, Managing Director, Quick Move Now’s commented: “These figures paint a very positive picture for the Scottish property market, which is much welcomed against the backdrop of stubborn mortgage interest rates.

“These figures show that there is exceptionally strong demand in both cities.

“Although mortgage interest rates are not coming down as quickly as hoped, typical time on market of less than two months suggests that the property market in the area remains robust despite the challenges.”
