CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The City of Cheyenne could grant a utility easement to the Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities for the construction of a new Greenway connector project.

The City Council on Monday referred the agreement to the city’s Public Services Committee, which will return to the council with a recommendation on whether to approve it.

The easement, located on city-owned land in the S¹/₂ of Section 35, Township 14 North, Range 66 West of the 6th p.m., Laramie County, will allow BOPU to install underground utilities necessary for the completion of the Sun Valley to Kiwanis Park Greenway Connector.

The 6,363 +/- square foot easement is a crucial step in the development of the greenway connector, which aims to provide a safe and scenic route for pedestrians and cyclists connecting Sun Valley Park to Kiwanis Park. The project is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to expand its greenway network and promote outdoor recreation.

The easement agreement outlines the terms and conditions for the installation, maintenance and operation of the utility infrastructure. BOPU will be responsible for restoring the surface of the easement area to its original condition after the completion of the project.

The Sun Valley to Kiwanis Park Greenway Connector is expected to be a valuable addition to the city’s recreational amenities, providing residents with a new way to enjoy the outdoors and connect with nature.

    The agreement is attached below:
