    Conn. Agencies Defend Rebuff Of Utility’s $131M Rate Increase

    By Aaron Keller (August 19, 2024, 7:38 PM EDT) — Three Connecticut agencies, including its utility rate watchdog, have defended the state’s rejection of United Illuminating Co.’s proposed three-year rate increase of $131 million, saying in Connecticut state court that regulators properly trimmed the company’s request to $23 million in its first year from its $90 million request….
